Fundraising Lunch 2014:
With the event MC’d by Jonny Gould and acts including Mick Ferry and Bob & Jim everyone had an afternoon full of laughter and not to mention, much of drink. We welcomed to the event a very special guest, Gary Allen. Gary, who suffers from Secondary Progressive MS, attended in his newly acquired Levo C3 Standing wheelchair which was part funded by the Trust.
The wheelchair which is specially adapted to allow Gary to stand for the first time in years will significantly improve Gary’s standard of living, mental state and quality of life, so the Trust are very proud to be able to support him this way.
For the first time at the event the Trust raffled a brand new Mini One car, with tickets being sold on the day and with local MP Bob Neill drawing the winning ticket. John Hayes of Axis Group Plc had his ticket drawn as the winner and as John wasn’t present at the event he had agreed with Steve Frankham prior to the lunch to auction the Mini if he did win, this raised a further fourteen thousand pounds. John’s generosity and support at all our events is second to none and we can’t thank him enough.
The lunch was our most successful to date raising in excess of £75,000.
As always our thanks go to our loyal supporters and with everyone’s donations we are now well on our way to our target of donating 100 new minibuses with our 5th, 6th and 7th bus now on order.
Plans are already in motion for the 2015 Million Pound Ball, taking place again at the stunning Savoy Hotel, London. If you would like further details of this event or to pre-book your table please contact Becky Bosman – email@example.com
